Venue Hire – COVID-19 Requirements

 

In accordance with Queensland Health requirements, Council has implemented additional requirements for the hire of Facilities. These standards are essential to ensure the safety of our community. The Venue Hirer must agree to follow the requirements listed below, in addition to the terms of the standard Hire Agreement.

Maximum Attendees and Vaccination Status: All attendees must have been fully vaccinated (double vaccinated) to attend the facility. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure vaccination status is verified.  If there are any unvaccinated people attending, numbers are restricted to a maximum of 20 people. Additional requirements may be required for unvaccinated attendees.  The Venue Hirer must notify Council if unvaccinated patrons will be attending.

 

Contact Tracing:  Ensure all attendees check in with the ‘Check In Qld’ app, if they do not have an electronic device it is the responsibility of the event holder to obtain the relevant details. These details must be retained for a minimum of 30 days and disposed securely before 56 days following the booking.  If required or requested providing contact tracing information to Council, Queensland Health and/ or Queensland Police.

 

Cleaning :Ensure any areas used are cleaned and disinfected after each use with appropriate products (which have been supplied by Council); this includes things like door handles, bench tops, light switches, equipment, tables and chairs and other high touch points.  Ensure the person cleaning the area wears gloves when cleaning and wash their hands thoroughly with soap or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser before and after wearing gloves.  If the venue’s crockery and cutlery is used, please ensure all is washed thoroughly in hot soapy water and dried, wash in dishwasher if available. General  Advise all attending to stay home should they be sick or go home if they become unwell or display any symptoms of COVID-19.  Not to remove any signage displayed at the facility regarding Covid-19 Requirements

 

This document has been prepared on the current information available to Council. Venue Hirers should review up to date information available through QLD Health up to the date of hire to ensure restrictions have not changed.
